Para ello, los ingenieros utilizan simulaciones computacionales que permiten predecirlas de manera realista, evitando los costos de realizar ensayos f\u00edsicos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque estas herramientas han transformado la forma de dise\u00f1ar nuevas tecnolog\u00edas, muchas simulaciones siguen demandando grandes recursos computacionales y largos tiempos de procesamiento. En ese contexto, el Dr. Alejandro Aguirre, acad\u00e9mico del Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica de la Usach, lidera un proyecto Fondecyt de Iniciaci\u00f3n que desarrollar\u00e1 nuevos algoritmos para hacer estos c\u00e1lculos m\u00e1s eficientes, basados en el M\u00e9todo de Elementos Finitos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La investigaci\u00f3n se centra en la aeroelasticidad, disciplina que analiza c\u00f3mo interact\u00faan las cargas aerodin\u00e1micas con la flexibilidad y el movimiento de una estructura, y en c\u00f3mo el fluido y la estructura influyen mutuamente en su comportamiento.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La interacci\u00f3n fluido-estructura integra la din\u00e1mica de fluidos y la din\u00e1mica de s\u00f3lidos para representar y estudiar con mayor precisi\u00f3n fen\u00f3menos que son fundamentales para el dise\u00f1o de diversas tecnolog\u00edas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Aguirre.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proyecto se extender\u00e1 por tres a\u00f1os.
